Wondering what to bring?

If your most recent voter registration was by mail and you have not yet provided identification to an election official, you must either (1) provide one of the following forms of identification showing your name and current address or (2) vote a provisional ballot. (Provisional ballots are not counted on election night; instead, the city council, acting as the board of election canvassers, will decide whether to count each provisional ballot at the election canvass.)

    • Current/valid photo ID
    • Current utility bill
    • Bank statement
    • Paycheck
    • Government check or other official government document

Wondering about other voting options?

If you will be unable to vote early in person or on Election Day (March 5), there is still time to request an absentee ballot. For information about absentee ballots, please visit the city’s elections web page or call the Elkins city clerk, Sutton Stokes, at (304) 636-1414, ext. 1211.
